B.Ed. (Bachelors of Education)(100 STUDENT/ANNUALLY)

Bachelors of Education, popularly referred as B.Ed., is a two-year full-time degree course that is essential for candidates who are interested in pursuing a career in teaching and other related fields. Students in the B.Ed. course are given professional training in both art and science subjects from the teaching point of view.

B.Ed is mandatory for all those who want to teach in primary and secondary schools. National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) is a statutory body which delegates and regulates programmes in teaching across the country.

B.Ed Careers & Jobs

On completing Bachelor of Education, aspirants can become teachers at the primary, secondary and senior secondary levels in schools. In order to be hired as an Assistant Professor or Professor at the college/university level, candidates need to appear for Teacher Eligibility Tests like CTET, APTET, TSTET or UGC NET.

Candidates with a B.Ed degree can apply for jobs at all government and private schools in India.

ELIGIBILITY & FEE STRUCTURE

Candidates with at least 50% marks in graduation/ equivalent examinations. 45% marks for ST/SC. Not for OBC category.
The reservation and relaxation for ST/SC/OBC/PH and other categories shall be as per the rules of the state government.
Minimum age- 19 years at the time of admission (July).
Rs. 75000/- per year for General and OBC candidate.
Rs. 70000/- per year for SC/ST candidate.

ADMISSION AND INTAKE(100 STUDENT/ANNUALLY)

Admission in B.Ed. is taken through teacher training entrance examination followed by counseling which is conducted by Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Exam Board (JCECEB)
