Internal Quality Assurance cell
Introduction:
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at Taiyab Memorial Teachers’ is established in accordance with the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) guidelines.
Objectives:
The primary objective of the IQAC is to promote a culture of continuous improvement in all aspects of the institution’s academic and administrative functioning. Specifically, the IQAC aims to:
- Develop a comprehensive quality policy aligned with the institution’s vision and mission.
- Monitor and evaluate the internal quality assurance processes through established methods.
- Identify strengths and weaknesses in various academic and administrative areas.
- Suggest and implement improvements in teaching, learning, research, infrastructure, and student support services.
- Organize workshops and seminars on quality-related themes for faculty development and staff capacity building.
- Prepare the Self-Study Report (SSR) for NAAC accreditation and other quality enhancement initiatives.
- Disseminate information on various quality parameters and best practices within the institution.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between various stakeholders (faculty, staff, students, parents, alumni) on quality-related issues.
Functioning:
- Meetings: The IQAC will meet quarterly to discuss quality-related matters, review reports, and plan future initiatives.
- Sub-committees: The IQAC may establish sub-committees to focus on specific areas like teaching-learning, research, infrastructure, etc.
- Data Collection and Analysis: The IQAC will collect data from various sources (surveys, student feedback, faculty performance reports) to assess the institution’s performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Documentation and Reporting: The IQAC will maintain detailed records of its activities, reports, and recommendations. It will also submit annual reports to the institution’s management and relevant authorities.
- Action Plans: Based on its evaluations, the IQAC will develop action plans with specific goals, timelines, and responsible parties for implementing improvements.
- Liaison and Collaboration: The IQAC will collaborate with existing academic and administrative committees to ensure a coordinated approach to quality enhancement initiatives.
